06 January 2021

Pario is excited and proud to announce that Eli Vandersluis, Ph.D., EIT, Forensic Materials Specialist, has graduated from Ryerson University with two awards: the Ryerson University Gold Medal and the Governor General’s Academic Gold Medal.

The Ryerson University Gold Medal is the highest award bestowed by the institution, awarded to graduates to recognize their academic excellence combined with their contributions to the university, academic community, and professional community. In addition to his exceptional academic record, Eli was the Founder and President of Musicians@Ryerson; he performed for industry groups and the Ryerson Awards Gala. He was also a student ambassador for Ryerson, where he designed student competitions and enabled student participation.

The Governor General’s Academic Medal is a prestigious, 140-year-old academic tradition that recognizes Canadian students’ outstanding achievements each year. The medal is provided at four levels, the highest being Gold, which signifies academic excellence to the student who achieves the highest academic standing in the graduate field.

We at Pario are incredibly proud of Eli, and we would like to commend him on persevering and excelling among his peers in his university career. Please join us in congratulating Eli on this incredible accomplishment!
