Pario Engineering & Environmental Sciences is pleased to welcome Jason Carrick as a Project Manager within our Environmental division in Calgary, Alberta.
Jason’s journey into environmental science began over 20 years ago, rooted in a deep appreciation for the outdoors. “Being someone that’s always been attracted to the outdoors, this is initially what drew me into the world of environmental sciences,” he shares. At the time, environmental science was emerging as a dynamic and growing field.
For Jason, environmental science felt like a natural fit, as it combined his passion for being a caretaker of the environment with his love of fieldwork. Over the years, he has found the work deeply fulfilling. Along the way, he moved from Environmental Technologist positions to Project Management, an evolution that makes sense. He explains, “Now being on the project management side of things, I find it extremely rewarding to see a program come together, progress, and finally all the pieces of the puzzle fall into place.”
Jason joins Pario with prior experience working alongside the team as a subconsultant and was excited to take on this new challenge. “I was ready for a change and to get back out in the field, that’s where my passion lies,” he says. With his children now grown, he saw the timing as ideal and felt confident that the role and team were the right match. In this new role, Jason will oversee projects in Calgary and throughout the region.
In his spare time, Jason enjoys hiking and camping in the mountains with his family and supporting his children as they pursue their own interests.
