Welcoming Bibi Lawal to the Pario Team

Pario Engineering & Environmental Sciences is pleased to welcome Bibi Lawal as Regional Manager, based out of Edmonton, Alberta. Bibi brings a strong technical foundation, and team oriented, people-focused leadership style to Pario’s Western Canada operations.

Bibi’s path into chemical engineering began early. Excelling in math and chemistry during high school, she was encouraged by her guidance counsellor to pursue engineering, advice that aligned naturally with her family background. Engineering runs deep in Bibi’s family, from her father to her three sisters and even her husband. Born and raised in Nigeria, Bibi and her sisters all left after high school to further their engineering studies abroad. She completed her undergraduate degree in Canada and went on to earn her Master’s degree in the United States, building a global academic foundation that continues to shape her approach today.

When the opportunity to join Pario arose, Bibi immediately felt a strong sense of alignment. “The interview process flowed very naturally,” she recalls, noting that Pario’s culture and values stood out from the start. Growing up, Bibi was fascinated by forensic investigation shows and the way science and technology were used to speak on behalf of victims. That long-standing interest, combined with her consulting background, made forensic engineering a compelling next chapter. Learning about a “day in the life” at Pario, how investigations come together like puzzles, further confirmed that this was a role she would truly enjoy.

As a leader, Bibi is focused on growth, efficiency, and quality. Her vision includes expanding the engineering team across Western Canada, increasing file flow, and putting strong processes in place to support both performance and consistency. Drawing on her consulting experience, she brings a structured mindset to leadership, emphasising clear KPIs, efficient workflows, and delivering the right work at the right time. Equally important to her is client engagement, ensuring clients feel heard, supported, and confident in the team’s work. Above all, Bibi describes her leadership philosophy simply: a leader who listens.

Though new to forensic engineering, Bibi finds the industry deeply stimulating. From fires to structural and materials investigations, she values having visibility into files and remaining connected to the technical aspects of the work, even in a management role. Building a strong team excites her most, and she is inspired by the Vancouver team she has already met; a model she hopes to emulate as she grows her team while maintaining Pario’s collaborative culture.

Outside of work, Bibi enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and making memories with her children. In her early days at Pario, she has already felt the support and encouragement of her colleagues and is excited about what lies ahead. Her goal is to remove barriers that prevent her team from doing their best work, create an environment where everyone feels heard, and grow Pario’s presence across Alberta and the Prairies, with even broader opportunities on the horizon.

We are thrilled to welcome Bibi to Pario and look forward to the leadership, perspective, and energy she brings to Western Canada.
