Pario Engineering & Environmental Sciences is pleased to announce the promotion of Miles Torch to Regional Manager – Environmental Hygiene, Ontario. This milestone reflects Miles’ dedication, leadership, and ongoing commitment to growing Pario’s Environmental Hygiene practice.
For Miles, this promotion represents the next step in a career to which he has been dedicated. “I’ve always wanted to contribute at the highest level I can,” he shares. Stepping into this role allows him to expand his impact, not only supporting Pario’s growth in Ontario, but also helping team members develop their expertise while continuing to grow professionally himself.
Miles’ journey within Environmental Hygiene has been strongly shaped by mentorship and trust. He credits the guidance of experienced colleagues who helped him develop both technically and professionally. That foundation now enables him to give back to teams that he now leads.
Having worked closely with clients, leaders, and national teams, Miles is well positioned to support both the technical and business-development sides of the practice. A key focus moving forward will be expanding visibility for Environmental Hygiene services, strengthening cross-selling opportunities with other Pario departments, and continuing to grow the team organically. This will help our clients who can benefit from simplicity of sending one professional to site to conduct multiple tasks.
Environmental Hygiene continues to evolve across the industry, and Miles believes staying ahead requires balance. “Quality, service, and value all have to work together,” he explains. “Pario’s ability to deliver consistent, high-quality work through experienced professionals is what sets the company apart.” By retaining top experts, investing in growth, and maintaining strong client relationships, Miles sees Pario continuing to lead through 2026 and beyond.
Looking back, Miles believes several moments stand out as pivotal in shaping his career. His very first hygiene file at Pario remains especially meaningful, as it represented trust placed in himself early on and set the foundation for where he is today. Helping his clients with the best outcome out of what can be a difficult experience has motivated and inspired him. With the strong technical leadership through all Pario’s services, he feels he is surrounded by experts who can help his team develop and grow.
Outside of work, Miles stays active and family-focused. He enjoys playing and coaching hockey with his two children, aged 10 and 13, and spending time boating with his family, their favourite pastime.
As he transitions into leadership, Miles’ vision is clear: increase awareness of Pario’s Environmental Hygiene services, strengthen relationships with key clients across Ontario, and ensure Pario is the first call when hygiene becomes a concern on any file.
“I’m here because of the opportunities Pario has given me,” Miles says. “The reason Pario succeeds is because of its experts and those experts thrive because they’re given opportunities to grow.”
