Pario Engineering & Environmental Sciences Welcomes Murray McBain to Collision Reconstruction Team in Calgary

Murray brings a lifelong passion for vehicles, engineering, and problem‑solving to his new role. Growing up on a farm in Manitoba, he developed an early fascination with how machines worked, often watching his father repair vehicles and spending every Sunday enjoying NASCAR together. This interest guided his academic path, beginning with a degree in Physics followed by Mechanical Engineering studies at the University of Manitoba.

During his time there, Murray played key roles on both the Formula Electric and Formula Combustion teams, serving as Suspension Lead, Engine Design Lead, and contributing across multiple technical areas. He later completed a master’s degree focused on controls for next‑generation vehicle systems.

While exploring career opportunities, Murray discovered Pario’s role in Collision Reconstruction and immediately recognised the alignment with his expertise in vehicle design and modelling. He was drawn to the meaningful public impact of collision reconstruction work and found the investigative nature of file reviews both challenging and fascinating. The opportunity to join Pario’s Calgary office was an added benefit, allowing him to build his career in a city he already loved.

Outside of work, Murray enjoys an active lifestyle that includes hunting, fishing, vehicle projects, and spending time away from screens. Since moving to Alberta, he has embraced the outdoor lifestyle even trying winter camping in extreme temperatures.  His deep appreciation for the mountains has kept him active.

Murray looks forward to working closely with clients and delivering clear, valuable insights that demonstrate the impact and importance of Pario’s Collision Reconstruction services.
