Pario Engineering & Environmental Sciences is pleased to welcome Andrew Strack to our Fire Investigation team in Calgary. With a career shaped by public service, science, investigations, and the insurance industry, Andrew brings a unique combination of experience and perspective to his new role.
Andrew’s path into fire investigations began in the late 1990s when he joined the Calgary Fire Department. What started as a career quickly became a lifestyle, exposing him to the broader world of emergency services and sparking a particular interest in areas where science, regulations, and investigation came together. He progressed through the ranks to become a senior fire investigator, developing a strong passion for understanding how and why fires occur.
Before returning to fire investigations, Andrew spent several years as a licensed private investigator and later dedicated seven to eight years to risk management. That experience provided him with a much broader understanding of the insurance industry and the systems that support it. While the move into risk management broadened his professional perspective, Andrew says he is especially pleased to be returning to his investigative roots.
The opportunity with Pario felt like a natural fit, giving Andrew the chance to combine his investigative experience with the insurance knowledge he has developed throughout his career. He looks forward to bringing his understanding of both public service and insurance to Pario, while helping others better understand how these different organizations work together.
Outside of work, Andrew enjoys spending time with his family, travelling, and caring for animals. He and his wife are foster parents for pets in need, and their household includes a Maine Coon cat.
Looking ahead, Andrew is eager to learn, and to build a strong understanding of Pario’s systems and standards. From there, he is excited to explore the opportunities ahead, including the possibility of moving into management as his career with Pario develops. We are excited to have Andrew back where his investigative roots began and look forward to the knowledge, experience, and perspective he will bring to the Pario team. We wish Andrew every success in his new role and look forward to seeing all that he will accomplish with Pario.
