Pario’s fire investigators are experts in determining the origin and cause of vehicle, industrial machinery, and structure fires. The cause and effect of these fires are determined through a holistic review of the complete loss. The team is accustomed to engaging our engineering services and environmental team to assess building contamination, smoke mapping, electrical or mechanical failures, and any other potential causes. Our team of experts can be your one-stop shop for a complete and detailed analysis. Certified by internationally recognized institutions we conduct all fire investigations in accordance with the NFPA 921 “Guide for Fire & Explosion Investigations.”
The comprehensive approach we employ consists of:
- Securing the fire scene and providing security personnel when required.
- Interviewing witnesses and fire fighters and recording all events.
- Diagramming and photographing the scene.
- Noting burn qualities and burn/arc patterns.
- Inspecting objects and substances near the point of fire origin.
- Collecting and preserving samples.
- Assessing compliance with fire codes and standards.
Our fire investigators also conduct forensic engineering analysis and evaluations of building electrical systems, electrical and fuel-fired appliances, vehicle electrical systems, and mechanical systems to determine their root cause of failure as it pertains to a loss.
To support our fire investigations, we have the equipment necessary to perform non-destructive testing of evidence, both on-site and at our secure evidence lockup and laboratory facilities. Testing capabilities include X-ray analysis, critical for the examination of electrical and gas components, and a flexible video borescope to inspect concealed spaces, vents and chimneys.
The completion of our fire investigations results in reports that are accurate, in-depth technical summations that can stand up to the most rigorous third-party examination and scrutiny.
