Smoke Damage
Fire damage can have a lasting physical and psychological impact long after the smoke clears. That’s why smoke mapping is critical to determining the extent of the damage, aiding in proper restoration, and confirming abatement results after the fact. Working with the fire investigators who determine the origin and cause of the fire, Pario’s environmental consultants can properly deduce and map the smoke migration that occurred.
The environmental consultants at Pario also provide damage delineation and smoke mapping with expert analysis for subrogation.
Our Environmental Hygiene Services Team conducts visual screening (streak testing) prior to performing smoke mapping to pinpoint where samples can be best collected. The samples are then laboratory tested to identify and quantify the levels of soot, ash, and char, and to confirm the results of the streak testing.
Once data is gathered, a scope of work is prepared, and Pario’s environmental consulting experts work alongside contractors, the insured, and adjusters to confirm the fire restoration claims are completed accurately and efficiently. This process uses data and scientific analyses to direct the process, thus limiting unnecessary and inefficient restoration efforts, decreasing the time insureds are out of their homes, and reducing potential follow up site visits and delays.
