Biography

With over 15 years of hands-on experience in asbestos bulk and air analysis, Irene offers deep expertise in EPA and NIOSH 9002 analytical methods. She has an in-depth understanding of British Columbia’s hazardous materials regulations and WorkSafe BC requirements. Irene has played a key role in NVLAP (Bulk) and CALA (Air) Proficiency Testing programs and has been instrumental in establishing QA/QC systems and managing associated data. Her technical contributions include setting up gravimetric systems, overseeing everything from equipment procurement to testing and developing comprehensive work procedures and operational manuals. Irene has working knowledge in both 400 and 1000 point- counting techniques and is known for her strong communication, multitasking, and time management skills. Her proficiency of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) further enhances her organizational and reporting strengths.
